Despite Microsoft Money not being a business accounting software solution, it is worthy of a quick mention as a still popular personal finance management solution. (more)
This early Microsoft product has not been upgraded for a number of years (2007 may be the last major upgrade) and is no longer supported via the Microsoft site…but despite this, it still has a loyal following of users and the product is still sold (new & used) via both eBay and Amazon.
According to several review sites, the earlier Microsoft Money editions were the best, perhaps 2003 being the one to go for(?) with with a slight trent towards negative reviews for later versions. Microsoft Money prices seem competitive via Amazon or see below for the latest eBay listings.

I’ve used Office Accounting Pro 2008 for two years and it is a superb product and much easier to use than both Sage and Quickbooks and I would even go as far as to give it a full five stars for each category. However, Microsoft have pulled the plug on support and there is no upgrade path and the payroll functions no longer work. Despite this being a great product – AVOID it (sadly).
Having used the free version for quite some time, I opted to upgrade (Office Accounting Professional 2008) and buy the full version and just two weeks later, Microsoft dropped all support! Don’t buy this software – as good as it was – unsupported accounts software is a complete waste of time and money!
I purchased Office Accounting Professional 2008 a few years ago and only installed it recently – what a shame and complete waste of good money to find that this software is no longer supported by Microsoft! Given this – my advice – don’t buy it.
