Regarding Sage Instant Accounts V16 – After using Sage Line 50 for previous work, this is a reasonable short version of the same for small businesses. There are still some errors (Line 50 has always had various problems, and this is the same!) The important thing is that sometimes just completely shut off when you open a new menu, but when it restarts, the data provided the data verifier is very well, and can continue, so that only a minor annoyance. The built-in reports (invoices, etc) are a bit poor, usually designed to fit with the Sage of pre-printed letterhead and thus make more money, but soon began learning the report designer helps you can design your own without too much trouble. I read that Sage functions for the petty cash control was poor in previous versions, now is treated like a bank account and it works fine. So to mount a reasonable purchase, especially if you have previously used Sage.
Sage Instant accounts – very good accounts software and a very good introduction to Sage software. It is priced well and very easy to get started with and is ideal if you have a simple business with no need of sales/purchase order processing or stock systems. At £100 (give or take) it is worth buying a copy, getting a Sage instruction book and having a practice!
Being a small business owner, I wanted to buy one off the shelf package that meets my needs, and after a brief look around the available packages, I went for this one. It is a fair price – almost 95 pounds at the time of purchase – and came a week after the Amazon. Christmas has come and gone, and I got round to install. And that’s about all I can say – the installation process is finished, started with me and that’s it. Attempt to reload a few times but to no avail. My computer specification in the packaging guide, I have a laptop with 4 GB Win7 2.5GHz AMD chips, so to see the account application process to crash before you let me frankly unacceptable and shoddy products or testing, or misleading information on the product packaging. I do not recommend this product based on the fact that I can not, and given the fact that the product itself does not allow you to tend to speak. Deep impression.
We purchased this product to replace the discontinued Microsoft Office Accounting (why not continue with this product do not understand, was an excellent product). After using Sage for a few weeks would have to say that this is a decent financial package, but if you have any financial background they will fight. I am an accountant to understand the conditions under which drops of Sage support function, but without any understanding of debits and credits, reconciliations, etc. I see many hours of confusion and frustration. In the case of functionality that you can not criticize it means a lot of tax codes, sales lists in the EC, large accounts table, a lot of reports, etc., but it is easy to use and design pages and data entry is not very intuitive. Wise, looking quite out of date and do not use the “drill” functionality that made Microsoft Office Accounting (modern applications and Web-based) as easy to use. If anyone can find an account that is designed for small and medium-sized similar to what Microsoft puts out, I would go for that hands down, but from my research I think it makes sense, unfortunately, as good as the second recipient.
